Pressing Instructions

To get the best results from your DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers from Teezy’s Customz LLC, follow the pressing instructions below carefully. Our premium DTF prints are designed to be easy to apply, fade-resistant, and crack-proof — when pressed the right way.

🔥 Heat Press Requirements

To apply your transfers correctly, you’ll need:

A heat press (manual or automatic)
A flat, clean pressing surface
Optional: Teflon sheet or parchment paper for added protection

📋 Step-by-Step Pressing Instructions

✅ 1. Pre-Press the Garment

Set your heat press to 300°F – 320°F
Pre-press the fabric for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles

✅ 2. Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer face-up (design facing up, film side on top of the garment)
Align it where you want the design to appear

✅ 3. Apply Heat & Pressure

Press at 300°F – 320°F
Apply medium to firm pressure
Press for 6–10 seconds

✅ 4. Peel the Film

Hot Peel: Peel immediately and smoothly while still hot
or
Cold Peel: Let it cool for 10–15 seconds, then peel gently

Note: Our transfers support both methods. Hot peel is quicker; cold peel can offer a slightly softer finish on some fabrics.

✅ 5. Optional: Second Press (Recommended)

For extra durability and a matte finish:

Cover the print with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper
Press again for 5–8 seconds

🧼 Washing Instructions

To keep your custom prints looking fresh:

Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash
Wash inside out, cold water, gentle cycle
Do not bleach
Tumble dry low or hang dry
Do not iron directly on the design

❗ Common Mistakes to Avoid

Low temperature = design won't fully transfer
Not enough pressure = edges may lift
Overheating = ink may blur or fade prematurely
Peeling too fast or too slow = parts of the design may lift
